I will start out this blog with the newsletter put out by Georgia Hymmen, who coordinated the rescue of Japan John. This was published about September or October of 1998 (we met John at the airport on September 14th, 1998). Following the newsletter are some photos taken by Neil or his partner Setsuko in Japan before John (who I renamed Xanadu) came to Canada.
In the next post I am going to publish the prologue I have written to John/Xanadu's story - it is about my husband Doug's & my first rescued dog, Cleo. It was after having Cleo that we decided we wanted another rescued Dane.
